🇺🇸A MORNING OF TRUTH, FREEDOM & FAITH
Today’s Exploring Religious Freedom sessions with Dr. John D. Wilsey challenged us to think deeply about nationalism and nationality, Christian nationalism, and the American tradition of religious freedom.
But beyond history and government, there was a greater reminder: our ultimate identity, allegiance, and hope are found in Christ.
Scripture reminds us that God is sovereign over nations and that He has “determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation” (Acts 17:26, KJV). We are called to honor earthly government and faithfully steward the freedoms God has entrusted to us..while never confusing our earthly citizenship with our eternal citizenship.
Prophetically, this is a moment for the Church to awaken:
Not to retreat from culture, but to engage it with truth.
Not to worship a nation, but to honor the God who gives nations their place.
Not to surrender our convictions, but to courageously live them. And not to place our ultimate hope in America—but in Jesus Christ, the King of Kings.
As believers, we have a responsibility to know truth, preserve freedom, disciple generations, and faithfully proclaim Christ.

May what we learned today move beyond a classroom and into our homes, churches, communities, and nation.

May we steward our freedom faithfully, stand courageously for truth, and keep our eyes fixed on Christ.
