Towner Community Club to discontinue Charitable Gaming
The Towner Community Club (TCC) voted to discontinue their Charitable Gaming efforts. At the April 2026 special meeting, the members of the Towner Community Club voted to discontinue Charitable Gaming due to lack of new enrollment in the organization.
The TCC began its venture into Charitable Gaming in late 2021. This required the organization to become a 501c3 non-profit, and work with the State of North Dakota to receive the necessary training for facilitating Charitable Gaming. Since the inception, the TCC has partnered with the Moose in Towner as a site for it’s gaming, officially launching gaming in July of 2022.
Over the past 3 years, the Towner Community Club has given out nearly $270,000 to the Towner Community and the surrounding areas. Most of the donations were focused towards youth activities, historical preservation and local EMS and Fire Departments.
In recent years, the TCC has seen an decrease in new membership to the organization. There is a small group of very active members that have helped keep the regular activities going, and then additionally took on more responsibilities to facilitate gaming efforts. Due to lack of new enrollment, the members of the TCC did vote to discontinue gaming, and go back to just focusing on community events.
The TCC will be working with the Attorney General’s office to distribute the remaining funds left over after they discountinue gaming on July 1, 2026. The TCC thanks the Bearded Moose and its staff for partnering with them, as well as the employees of the TCC.
