The continuation of Thursdays on the Village Green is made possible by Arts at the Palace, its parent organization since 2024.

Arts at The Palace is a center for arts, culture and creative development dedicated to helping people create, share, and experience art in order to improve lives and strengthen communities.

Based right here in Hamilton, NY, AATP takes a holistic approach to developing the arts and culture through what they call Creative Capacity Building.

By supporting the full breadth of the artistic process and a collaborative arts ecosystem, we are building a more resilient, vibrant, and connected community.

When looking for a permanent home for Thursdays on the Village Green, Arts at the Palace was the perfect fit, ensuring the longevity of this rich community tradition for many years to come.

Think you know Hamilton? Prove it!

Our 5K course winds through some of the most beautiful parts of our village. Low-traffic country roads, sweeping views of Colgate University's campus, and the tree-lined Willow Path.

Oh, and one more thing: No Payne No Gain Hill. It's right at the start. It's steep. And you're going to feel incredible when you crest it.

Don’t miss Hamilton’s 2026 Village Art Walk series, hosted by the Partnership for Community Development and Arts at the Palace, back this year with four wonderful evenings centered around art, craftsmanship, music, food, drinks, family, and friends.

Enjoy live music, local art, and community connection at this free event, open to all. Take a stroll and view pop-up galleries, artist booths, and storefront displays. Bid on the silent auction. Take part in a family activity or craft.

Mark your calendars for June 12th, July 24th, August 28th and September 18th starting at 5:30 pm each night.

Start your evening by picking up the official Village Art Walk Map at the Palace Theater. Visit each stop at your leisure, then come back to the Palace at 7 pm for refreshments, cash bar, live music, silent auction supporting local artists, and family-friendly activities.

Live music on the Village Green goes back - WAY back. 🎶

Since 1902, summer concerts have been one of This Is Hamilton, NY’s most beloved annual activities. A passionate volunteer committee spearheaded by Roger Bauman revived the current series in 2018, and it was brought under the Arts at the Palace umbrella in 2024.

Our 2026 season kicks off on Thursday, July 2nd with a performance by blaineholcombmusic and Cassidy Lynn. The series will continue every Thursday evening through August 6th, including The Syracuse Orchestra’s annual Hamilton performance, taking place this year on July 9th.

In addition to terrific musical performances, each night includes family-friendly events. Folks are encouraged to picnic on the Village Green with food from one of the many food trucks in attendance. The evening’s concert and activities are free for all to enjoy. Blankets, chairs and dancing are encouraged!
