Two Chamber members are joining forces to support a third member through a fundraising event this weekend! 🥣🧀

The Village Clay and The Local Culture are teaming up to host the Empty Bowls fundraising event on Saturday, October 24, at TLC to benefit the Hamilton Food Cupboard!

Empty Bowls is a grassroots movement led by artists and craftspeople worldwide to raise money for hunger-relief organizations. The idea is simple: think globally, act locally.

Head to TLC on Saturday, October 24, from 11 am to 4 pm. You can choose a gorgeous, handmade bowl crafted by one of the many local artists at the Village Clay ceramics studio.

Enjoy a bowl of soup, take your bowl home, and leave with a functional piece of art that celebrates our community's care for one another. 🥣

With a donation of at least $25, you'll receive one ticket for a bowl (1 ticket = 1 bowl). You're also welcome to donate more than $25 per bowl if you'd like!

Learn more and purchase your ticket here:
https://www.village-clay.com/event-details/empty-bowls-2026-fundraiser-for-the-hamilton-food-cupboard

Proceeds from this event will support the Hamilton Food Cupboard's important work to address hunger in our community. ❤️

We’re lucky to have Community Memorial right here in our community, providing essential healthcare to Hamilton and the surrounding region. As a cornerstone of primary and specialty care in Central New York, CMH plays an important role in keeping our community healthy. 🩺

The Chamber was excited to learn that Dr. Isaiah J. Hammonds is expanding his availability at the Family Health Center in Hamilton! In addition to seeing patients in Waterville, Dr. Hammonds will now see patients in Hamilton, making primary care more accessible for residents.

Dr. Hammonds specializes in internal medicine and community wellness and is accepting patients ages 18 and older.

We’re grateful to have dedicated healthcare professionals right here in our community! To schedule an appointment, contact the Family Health Center in Hamilton at (315) 824-1100. They are located at 150 Broad Street, Hamilton, NY 13346.

Last week, participants at Heritage Farm, INC. traded some of their usual farm activities for a dose of art and inspiration with a visit to Colgate University’s Picker Art Gallery!

From baking and caring for animals to dancing and exploring creative outlets, participants at Heritage Farm have plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and express themselves. Their visit to the gallery was another chance to explore creativity, this time through the world of stickers, right down the road from the farm at Colgate University.

The group checked out Voices of the People: 110 Years of Street Stickers from Around the World, an exhibit featuring selections from the People’s History Archive in the United States and the Hatch Kingdom Sticker Museum in Germany. They learned how stickers can be used to share ideas, communicate messages, and express personal views. It was a fun way to see how art can give everyone a voice!

Experiences like this reflect the mission of Heritage Farm Inc., a private, not-for-profit agency providing services to people with developmental disabilities and their families. At the farm, participants build skills and independence through hands-on activities, including caring for small livestock, tending vegetable patches and gardens, and exploring artistic mediums such as paint, wood, wool, and clay.

Through these activities and opportunities for community involvement, participants develop important daily living, communication, and interpersonal skills while discovering new interests and ways to express themselves.

There are so many ways to make a difference at Heritage Farm! Whether you’re supporting a new farm project, sponsoring an animal, shopping at the local farm store, volunteering your time, or simply showing up for one of our participants, you’re helping cultivate life skills, independence, and a sense of belonging.

Visit Heritage Farm's website at heritagefarminc.org to explore the many ways you can become part of the farm family and support the incredible work happening there!

Hoping to check out the gallery yourself? You can visit the gallery Tuesday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sundays from 12 pm to 5 pm.
