We are kicking off this year's fundraiser for Shriners Hospital for Children here in St. Louis. Will you help us? We need donors from $100 to $2000 as sponsors for our Racquetball Tournament to be held in August. We are also looking for silent auction items. Message me if you need information. Our 6th ANNUAL Racquet Ruckus to benefit Shriners Hospital for Children is underway. We are currently in our fundraising phase. Beginning in June, we will start accepting items for our silent auction. This year, charity racquetball tournament will be held on August 16th.

Friends and Neighbors:

Many of you have bid and won items in the past, so wanted to send you an early email letting you know that the auction is up and live.

WE COULD SURE USE YOU HELP BY BOTH BIDDING AND FORWARDING THIS EMAIL TO YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

We have 177 items this year up for auction -- down some from last year, and we are down some on total dollar value, also.

However, we have some great items up for auction, including Cardinal game tickets, concert tickets, great restaurants, great sporting fun, and for you ladies, some wonderful Salon and Spa opportunities. In addition there is great art work, household products, car washes, etc.

All people need to do is take a look at the auction items at:

I am kicking off our 5th Annual Fundraiser for Shriners Hospital for Children in St. Louis and we need your help.

We need sponsors. Would you or your company be a sponsor?
Chairman Sponsors - $1,000
Tournament Sponsors - $500
Court Sponsors - $200
Player Sponsors - $100
Donors - up to $100

We also need people to buy some 50/50 raffle tickets. Raffle will be on August 24th and the winner will split the pot with the kids at Shriners Hospital

And, we are also looking for silent auction items, such as Cardinals or Rams or Blues tickets, other other neat stuff to sell. The Internet Auction will be held over the internet from August 1st through 24th.

And, we are looking for players for our charity racquetball tournament which will be held on August 24th at the MAC-West.

We are up and running on this year's Racquet Ruckus to benefit Shriners Hospital for Children. In St Louis. We are looking for sponsors, silent auction donors and internet bidders on our silent auction items. Let me know if you would like to help.

We have closed out the 2011 Racquet Ruckus Silent eAuction and Racquetball Tournament. Net proceeds exceeded $26,000 thanks to all of the wonderful people who helped us.

Last week, I presented the check to the hospital. Take a look at some of the things we will now be able to do:
1) We have funded Hand Camp for 2012, where dozens of kids with no hands, or hands and arms with major problems, get to fish, go canoeing, rock climb, go horseback riding and many other activities with the help of trained staff. For many of our patients with special hand difficulties, this is the first time that they have had a chance to do these “normal” camp things.
2) We provided nearly $4,000 for our prosthetics and orthotics shop to buy some specialty shoes for our kids without feet or legs. The funding for special shoes for this year had dried up and we were able to backfill that need, thanks to your help.
3) We are providing the funds for a new, much-needed Play Station and accessories for the patients to use in our recreational therapy department.
4) We are providing funds to make our young patients feel more at home during their often lengthly stay at Shriners by funding home-style barbecues, pizza lunches, out-trips to the movies, magic shows and other patient activities that otherwise are not funded.
5) We are providing funds to support Transition Retreat for our older kids before they leave on their own for college or vocational school or the work force.

Our 2012 Racquet Ruckus will be held on August 18th and I could sure use your help again.
