TSLV Lion Brandie recently delivered 50 women’s hygiene kits to Bill’s House Shelter. These kits were assembled by area Lions during a women’s health service project.

Lions Brandie and Kristine committed to picking up litter after the 4th holiday. They picked the hottest day of the year so far, but it was the day and time that worked for them. It was around 94°, Monday, July 13, 2026( please hydrate, folks).

Litter pick up done at the following landings:
Kayak Landing in Tower✔️
Hoodoo Point:
Old Boat Landing ✔️
New Boat Landing✔️
McKinley Park:
Boat Landing✔️
Beach✔️

The Kayak Landing in Tower, MN had the most litter of the three spots they tidied. There were also a ton of cigarette butts, which was disheartening, especially with the fire danger.

Hoodoo Point Campground Landings and McKinley Park Campground Landing and Beach only had a bit of litter, the caretakers do a good job of tidying up.

It’s good to get this done.

Happy Independence Day, from the Tower-Soudan Lake Vermilion Lions!

We had a great day participating in the Tower Parade today. It was quite the crowd this July 4th, 2026.

Thank you to the Tower-Soudan Lake Vermilion Area Events Board for all you do to make this parade a success each year! We are so grateful to be a part of this community and have the opportunity to serve our region for the greater good.
