Units from Tower City, Muir Volunteer Fire Company, and The Orwin Fire Company out again this evening for overhaul operations and extinguishing hot spots from yesterdays fire. The debris pile is very extensive and extends into what was the basement and foundation of the structure. You may see a small amount of smoke from the pile. If you see flames or a large amount of smoke please do not hesitate to call 911.

The crew was out again this morning for a rekindle of the pile. Thank you to The Orwin Fire Company & Muir Volunteer Fire Company for the assist! Also crews will be at the location later today while the demolition crew cleans up the pile. Please be careful if you need to drive near the scene!

As crews are still on scene of the fire in Tower City we would like to thank the local businesses that donated food, water, Gatorade, etc for the crews today. Scotto’s Ristorante and Pizzeria, Dw's Deli & Hoagie, Subway Tower City. We thank the community for their continued support!

Please avoid the area of E Colliery Ave and E Grand Ave between 4th and 8th streets in Tower City as units are still operating on a working structure fire. This will be a long operation as heavy equipment is on scene to help extinguish parts of the fire.

E66-10 and The Orwin Fire Company E22-12 handled an MVA with rollover overnight in the Borough. 66-10 began patient assessment and hazard control. 22-12 provided stabilization and assisted with hazards and cleanup.

Last night, area companies gathered at the Porter Tower Lions Club for a first responder appreciation dinner and to accept donations made by the club. We thank the Lions Club for their generosity and supporting emergency services in the area.

Sad news last night out of Berks County. 2 firefighters killed in a crash while operating a UTV and searching for a missing person. Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families and fire company during this difficult time.

This afternoon area units responded to 4th St and E Grand Ave in Tower City Borough for a vehicle accident with entrapment. 66-10 responded with 4 and upon arrival began vehicle stabilization and assisting EMS with patient assessments. Muir Volunteer Fire Company 22-11 arrived and began extrication using hydraulic tools. The Orwin Fire Company 22-12 arrived and assisted with patient extrication and controlling hazards. EMS on scene from Tower Porter Community Ambulance, Williamstown Area EMS, Inc., Tremont Area Ambulance, and Life Lion EMS
