Bradford County Historical Society President J. Kelsey Jones, along with member Matthew Wilber, recently visited a historic cemetery that features the memorial of a wife of a Revolutionary War soldier from Bradford County. The site features numerous native stones bearing no inscription that signify burials, and it is hoped that advancements in technology may one day reveal the identities of those interred there.

Just another reminder that our elevator modernization project begins today and will affect hours beginning on Wednesday.

During the project, which is expected to last three to four weeks, the museum and research library will be closed except by appointment. Handicapped accessibility to the building will not be available during this time. Large group tours will not be available during this time. Staff will still be working regular hours so feel free to contact us as normal. Those scheduling an appointment will be met at a different door and these details will be provided when the appointment is made.

Thank you so much for all those who donated to make this required modernization project possible. We have been working for almost seven years to complete this work. We will make an announcement when the project is complete and regular hours resume.
