Supported in part by the Bradford County United Way and the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. The Bradford County Historical Society is located in the former Bradford County jail on Pine Street in Towanda. It features a museum on two floors and a research library on the third floor.

Don't miss the Underground Railroad walking tour in Towanda on Saturday, June 20, at 10 a.m. Interested walking tour participants can register for this tour by sending an email to Destination Freedom Program Director EJ Murphy at [email protected] or by calling the Waverly Community House at 570-586-8191. You can also schedule a group walking tour by making an appointment with the Waverly Community House by calling (570) 586-8191. Tours are available through September 2026 and tours will commence again in May 2027.
