Prayer 1869 is an intentional moment for us to slow down, listen to God, and pray together. As we honor Tougaloo College’s rich legacy since 1869, we’re asking God for wisdom and guidance for this next season of leadership. This isn’t just about selecting a new president—it’s about seeking God’s direction for the future of the college. We are praying for a leader grounded in faith, committed to justice, and gifted with vision, courage, and compassion to lead Tougaloo forward. And as we pray, we trust that the same God who has carried Tougaloo through generations will raise up the right leader for what’s ahead.
