All classes are lead by an ASFA certified trainer. Our goal is to provide a safe and healthy place for young people to realize their physical potential. Each session is designed to challenge both young athletes and non athletes. Each training "evolution" consists of 8 training sessions that each last one hour. Two sessions a week for four weeks. We focus on four areas or skills. Training will work
on speed, conditioning, strength and agility. Speed: Basic form for proper running, sprinting drills, burst training, proper leg flection training. Conditioning: HIIT training, tempo runs, elevation runs, sprints, overall pace of each session (we're always moving). Strength: Push ups, sit ups, leg lifts, body weight squats, leaping drills. Agility: Cone drills, hurdle drills, change of direction drills, reaction training. Every training session will be a little different. Certain exercises will be staples in the training while some specific movements will be introduces in each training session to keep things new and to add to the challenge. All sessions are designed to be a thorough workout that addresses all areas of fitness and overall performance. As we grow, sports specific sessions will be added. Legacy Sports and Youth Fitness exists solely for the young people of Northwest Connecticut. We want the best experience for every kid that joins our group. We want success and a solid base for fitness and athletic performance. Our sincere hope is that these young people will make these lessons part of their everyday life as they become young adults.
