🌱 A Little Library Garden Update! 🌻

With harvest season just around the corner, we wanted to share a little update from our library garden! So far, we have one tiny radish 🫜, a few squash blossoms, and one beautiful sunflower. 🌻

As with everything else, gardening is all about learning as you go. We’re taking what we learn from this year’s garden and looking forward to using those lessons to make next year’s garden even better. 🌱

We also welcome our community to share gardening tips, advice, and ideas or even get involved with the garden. Together, we can learn, grow, and enjoy the benefits of gardening as a community! 🌻🍅🌽

Here’s to small harvests, big lessons, and growing together! 💚

Congrats to Embudo Valley Library, a Best Small Library in America 2026!! 😍

"Embudo Valley Library and Community Center (EVLCC) does what one might expect of a 21st-century library: provides books and public access to technology, offers programs for youth and adults, runs STEAM initiatives, and hosts cultural celebrations. But EVLCC’s impact extends far beyond typical library services. The building also houses a community radio station, a volunteer-run secondhand store that helps fund library operations, a public park and heritage orchard, and a cooperative grocery store. Through its lease arrangements, that grocery store also contributes to the library’s operating budget, turning the library into a gathering place where learning, community life, and economic stability reinforce one another."
