Tamsin Murray is a Sufi teacher, originally from Australia. Her teacher Sufi Master Adnan Sarhan from Baghdad created a unique
style of Sufism with incredible trance like drumming, whirling, meditative movement with the breath, dance, and chanting. Tamsin
began studying with Adnan in 1988. She travelled with him for over 20 years. With his passing Tamsin began to teach in Europe,
America and Australia and in the two month summer retreat in the Sufi center in New Mexico.
Over the years hundreds of people have had profound changes in the Sufi workshops. Stories of quitting habits like smoking, drinking and drugs, lifestyle changes, losing weight, accomplishing life goals. The techniques taught bring a very subtle but powerful shift to the heart and can create freedom from anything negative.
Sufism means purity. People who attend the workshops feel a profound connection with their breath, with peace and a renewed positive clarity. When you move with the breath in a deep concentration the nervous system, the mind and the body begin to experience a state of unity. This unity brings a healing power. The teaching comes from the moment, it flows from one moment to the next in fluid softness. “Experience is the best way of knowledge.”
Holding a weekend workshop at the beautiful Casa De Luz in Austin May 22, 23 & 24. The moment is a secret and through sufi movement and breath we discover how beautiful and profound the moment is.
