The Aerospace Players

The Aerospace Players TAP is an Aerospace Employees Association club formed in 1988.

Productions have participation and talent from The Aerospace Corporation, the Los Angeles Air Force Base, friends, family, industry colleagues and the broader community. The AEAMCC (Aerospace Employees Association Musical Comedy Club) was formed in 1988, with the intent of providing a forum for Aerospace Corporation and Los Angeles Air Force Base employees, their friends, and their families to par

ticipate in the "lively arts." This is not to imply that the productions are purely recreational; the club has always maintained the belief that working hard to produce quality shows will increase the enjoyment of its members. As the Air Force Base and Aerospace have a combined population in excess of 10,000 people, there is quite a bit of theatrical, musical, dance and production talent available. Friends and family of Air Force and Aerospace personnel, industry colleagues and members of the community are also welcome to participate so the talent pool can be quite substantial.

The final matinee performance of “Shrek” was Saturday, July 25th. Saying goodbye is always bittersweet. We had so much fun performing this terrific musical for our community.

A big thanks to our wonderful audiences. You made every show special with your laughter and applause.

Keep an eye on our page for the announcement of our Summer 2027 production. Auditions will be held in mid-to-late April 2027, with performances at the James Armstrong Theatre from July 16-24, 2027.

We would also like to thank our primary sponsors: the Aerospace Employees Association and The Aerospace Corporation. Many thanks as well to Cal State Dominguez Hills, North Torrance High School, Trinity Lutheran Church of Hawthorne, CA, the Manhattan Beach Community Church and Bob and Peggy Dowell for their loans of costumes, set pieces, props, facilities and more. Many thanks as well to the Arts Council of Torrance and to Steve and Jan Burrin for their generous donations. It’s an immense pleasure to be able to produce community theater in a time and place with such a strong sense of collaboration and cooperation.

A big shout out to the Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation and the City of Torrance CA Government for their support over these many years.

And, finally, a huge thanks to the families and friends of our cast, crew and orchestra, for their support and patience, in supporting their loved ones in being part of “Shrek The Musical”and letting their freak flags fly!

Until the next show!
