The Aerospace Players

The Aerospace Players TAP is an Aerospace Employees Association club formed in 1988.

Productions have participation and talent from The Aerospace Corporation, the Los Angeles Air Force Base, friends, family, industry colleagues and the broader community. The AEAMCC (Aerospace Employees Association Musical Comedy Club) was formed in 1988, with the intent of providing a forum for Aerospace Corporation and Los Angeles Air Force Base employees, their friends, and their families to par

ticipate in the "lively arts." This is not to imply that the productions are purely recreational; the club has always maintained the belief that working hard to produce quality shows will increase the enjoyment of its members. As the Air Force Base and Aerospace have a combined population in excess of 10,000 people, there is quite a bit of theatrical, musical, dance and production talent available. Friends and family of Air Force and Aerospace personnel, industry colleagues and members of the community are also welcome to participate so the talent pool can be quite substantial.

The final performance of “Damn Yankees” was Saturday, July 26th. Saying goodbye is always bittersweet. We had so much fun performing this Tony award winning musical for our community.

A big thanks to our wonderful audiences. You made every show special with your laughter and applause.

Keep an eye on our page for our Summer 2026 production “Shrek” with auditions late March / early April 2026. Performances at the James R Armstrong Theatre are planned for mid-late July 2026.

We would also like to thank our primary sponsors: the Aerospace Employees Association and The Aerospace Corporation. Many thanks as well to the Kentwood Players, Calstate Dominguez Hills, North High School, Trinity Lutheran Church of Hawthorne, Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation, and Manhattan Beach Community Church for their loans of costumes, set pieces, props, facilities and more. It’s an immense pleasure to be able to produce community theater in a time and place with such a strong sense of collaboration and cooperation.

A big shout out to Arts Council of Torrance, Torrance Performing Arts Consortium (TPAC), Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation and the City of Torrance for your support over these many years.

Last, but most assuredly not least, director Chuck Gustafson said it best in the “Damn Yankees” program: “Finally, I’d like to thank the families and friends of the cast and crew -- we owe you a huge debt of gratitude for your patience and support of this production!”

Until the next show!.

The Aerospace Players presents a tale with heart! Miles and miles and miles of Heart! Our audiences loved the first 3 shows of “Damn Yankees” and there are only 3 more shows remaining!

Are you looking to get your Bob Fosse fix? Did you know "Damn Yankees" is one of the Broadway shows he choreographed early in his career? While our choreographer, Rebecca Wade, was guided by her own vision in her choreography for this show, she pays homage to Fosse utilizing elements of his work in numbers such as "Whatever Lola Wants," "Who's Got the Pain" and "Two Lost Souls."

Don't miss this classic, Faustian tale brought to life by our talented cast! Lead actors: Ben Hess plays the devil (Mr. Applegate), Charles Keppler as a young baseball phenom (Joe Hardy) and Lynn Valkov as the devil’s seductress minion (Lola).

Friday, July 25, 7:30 pm
