Introducing our first fundraising campaign. And our first success story.
First, I am sharing because we have a growing waitlist of folks waiting on scholarship so they can get access to specialty neurological rehabilitation.
And I am sharing a story of AR, a person post stroke who was able to participate in an integrated program of neuro rehab because of the scholarship he received through re+sources for hope.
AR had a stroke at work, was hospitalized and discharged without any therapy. He had lost his job and did not have insurance, so options were very limited for his continued care. Through the help of Kandu, he found re+active and learned about the re+sources for hope scholarship program.
The scholarship greatly offset the cost of a whole six week program of PT, OT and psychology.
And he regained the use of his arm, improved his walking and balance and got back to work!
