Our second Sunday Salon was a powerful gathering centered on transformation, healing, and the journey from incarceration to liberation. We were honored to welcome guest speakers Darryl Burnside and Norma Cortez, who shared their experiences and insights, reminding us of the power of growth, resilience, and community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this space for connection and meaningful conversation possible.

This Sunday, we’re asking: What sparked your change?
Sunday, September 20, 2026 | 3:00 PM
📍 Mass Liberation Community Center
21519 Menlo Ave, Torrance, CA 90502

Join us for Sunday Salon, a space for honest conversations, connection, and storytelling.

Come hear from people with lived experience of incarceration as they share their journeys — what life was like before, during, and after incarceration, the experiences that changed them, and the people, moments, and opportunities that helped spark transformation.

Whether you have been impacted by incarceration, are returning home, support reentry work, or simply want to better understand what incarceration and transformation really look like, you are welcome here.

This is an opportunity to listen, learn, ask questions, and connect with members of our community whose stories deserve to be heard.

Come curious. Come open. Come ready to connect. ❤️

Parking: Park at the Carson Park & Ride, directly next door, and walk over to the large navy building.

We hope to see you this Sunday!

Mass Liberation staff and participants came together with API RISE and Testimony Ministries for a fun evening at the Dodgers game.

It was a great opportunity to enjoy time together, build connections, and strengthen our sense of community outside of our regular programs and services.

We appreciate API RISE and Testimony Ministries for joining us and sharing the evening with our Mass Liberation community.

Please join us this Sunday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Mass Liberation as we come together to celebrate the life and honor the memory of Alyssa Marie Gallo.

Alyssa was a beloved member of our Mass Liberation family and also a cherished member of the ARC community. She touched the lives of so many through her kindness, compassion, beautiful spirit, and unwavering love for others. Her presence brought warmth and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her, and her impact will continue to live on through the many lives she inspired.

We invite our community, friends, family, and all who knew Alyssa to gather with us to share memories, celebrate her life, and support one another during this difficult time.

If you would like to bring a dish to share, we would greatly appreciate it as we come together to honor Alyssa and share in community with one another. 💗
