The Biasi family kicked off the annual Biasi-Shuma 5K in Toronto on Saturday morning, drawing what organizers said was the largest turnout since the race began.

Tomorrow’s the day! 🇺🇸

📍 Race Day Reminders

• Check-in and day-of registration begin at 7:00 a.m. in the parking lot outside Clarke Hinkle Stadium.
• We encourage everyone to arrive no later than 8:00 a.m. to allow plenty of time for check-in.
• Parking is available in the stadium parking lot only. Please do not park on surrounding streets.

• Runners begin at 8:30 a.m.
• Walkers begin at 8:35 a.m.

It’s going to be another warm morning, so please come prepared. Drink plenty of water before you arrive and stay hydrated throughout the event. Toronto EMS (TEMS) will be stationed along the course to help ensure everyone has a safe, enjoyable race.

This year’s event will feel a little different as we remember our beloved mascot, Buckeye Brutus Biasi, who crossed the rainbow bridge earlier this week. We wanted to share one of our favorite photos of him proudly wearing his race medal—a reminder that he’ll always be part of this event.
