Mental Health Awareness Week at Lava Heights Academy is a meaningful time to focus on emotional wellness, self-care, and the importance of supporting one another. Throughout the week, students and staff come together through activities, discussions, and creative expression to promote healing, resilience, and positivity. It is a reminder that every feeling matters and that asking for help is a sign of strength. By encouraging kindness, connection, and open conversations about mental health, the academy helps create a safe and supportive environment where every girl can continue growing, learning, and believing in herself. 💙🌱

We recently had the opportunity for Paul Mitchell the School come out and talk with the girls about cosmetology and what is required to become a cosmetologist.
We also had some of the students curl some hair do some braids and spend some time with them answering questions they had.
It was a fun day and the girls enjoyed their time on campus.

Packing a few favorite items, writing down thoughts in a journal, or even creating a small welcome note can make the weekend feel more personal and meaningful. It’s also okay to feel unsure or emotional; those feelings are part of reconnecting and growing. With a little preparation and an open heart, family weekend can become a powerful opportunity to rebuild trust, strengthen bonds, and create new memories together. 💛
