Little Wally is doing amazing! He is eating and today he was playing with a small lambchop. Now we are working on potty training. Is there anyone out there that would be willing to foster?

So after a week of mommy cooking and trying everything under the sun Wally Bear ate! He inhaled 3/4 of Jinx chicken pate! Thank you Joanie Bonino for sending us this. Lady Bug likes the salmon much better so we still had a couple cans left! Olivia Sullivan I am so incredibly grateful for your help today.

Meet Penelope 💕

Penelope's journey to us began all the way in Texas, but her story starts with a heartbreaking goodbye. When her beloved owner entered hospice care, Penelope lost the only home and person she had ever known.

Despite that loss, Penelope's heart remains wide open.

This sweet girl is fiercely loyal and loves her people with everything she has. Once you've earned her trust, you'll gain a best friend for life. She's a champion cuddler, a generous giver of kisses, and firmly believes there is no such thing as too much affection. New friends? Penelope can't wait to meet them.

Like many dogs who have experienced major life changes, Penelope is still learning how to navigate the world around other dogs. She is most comfortable having her own space and will need thoughtful introductions and management. We are committed to helping her continue building confidence, while honoring the experiences that have shaped her.

Penelope is also incredibly smart... sometimes too smart. She quickly discovered how to roll down a car window and enjoys tagging along for adventures. Her only known nemesis? Windshield wipers. For reasons only Penelope understands, they are highly suspicious and must be monitored at all times.

And if you're looking for a gardening assistant, Penelope is ready to submit her application. Digging holes, rearranging flower beds, and conducting important soil inspections are among her many talents. Her landscaping methods may be unconventional, but her enthusiasm is unmatched.

The best part? Penelope is potty trained, knows how to use a doggie door, and walks beautifully on leash. Every day, she's learning that life can still be safe, joyful, and full of love.

Dogs like Penelope need a little extra patience, understanding, and support as they heal. Every donation helps us provide the care, training, and stability she deserves while she waits for her next chapter.

Wally is slowly improving. He is slowly getting back to himself.
I want to take a second and send a shout out to my volunteers without them I would likely throw in the towel. Having them help me allows me time to do other things for the dogs or just catch my breath. I so appreciate each and everyone of you! Thank you Olivia Sullivan, Meredith Wheeler and Matthew.
