John Garretson Recording Secretary of the Topeka Federation of Labor and Assistant Business Manager of our affiliate IBEW Local Union 304 gave testimony for Senate Bill 478 Utility Worker Protection Act. This act would make it a felony to assault or batter a Utility Worker.

The delegates of the Topeka Federation of Labor endorsed Cooper Melvin in his race for Shawnee County Commision District 1, they also donated to his campaign.
We encourage the affiliates to pass that information to their members.

At our delegate meeting on March 11th the delegates of The Topeka Fderation of labor made a motion to endorse Ethan Corson for Govenor the motion passed unanimously.
