Topeka Sunflower Lions Club

We were happy to welcome Martha Kehr from Audio Reader to the Topeka Sunflower Lions Club last Thursday evening.

Martha shared how Audio Reader provides access to audiobooks throughout Kansas and even across the border into Missouri. She explained that because their recordings are also available online, people anywhere in the country can enjoy their services.

Audio Reader volunteers read all kinds of materials, from books on any subject and local newspapers to cookbooks and even whatever someone may specifically request to have read aloud. Martha also introduced us to Audio Reader’s new cellphone app and explained some of the ways it can be used.

We’re so grateful to Martha for taking the time to visit with us and share more about this wonderful outreach and the difference it makes through the power of audio!

We were excited to welcome Kevin Siek from the Master Gardeners, who shared a wonderful presentation on Native Wildflowers and how to plant and create your very own wildflower bed.
