He reflected on his 26 years of service with Kansas Highway Patrol and shared his journey from MI to the Army (which brought him to KS) to starting a family and joining KHP. Nearly a year in on his retirement he is enjoying sharing his message around the Midwest and beyond!

We presented him with the Ambassadors "Token of Appreciation" for taking the time to come speak.

Goose visited with Mike, a while back. He is a good boy and deserves a quiet retirement

Today we said farewell to our friend Goose, as he began his retirement.

K9 Goose was the first ESD K9 in the State of Kansas. During his years of loyal service, he deployed successfully in support of local, state, and federal law enforcement, helping investigators locate electronic evidence in serious cases.

But some of Goose’s most important work had nothing to do with finding evidence. When he wasn’t working a search, he was providing comfort to victims during difficult interviews and meetings. And whenever Goose came through the office, he had a way of making everyone’s day a little better.

Goose was a great partner and an even better friend.

We will miss you Goose! Happy trails, buddy. You earned it. 🐾
