The Cherished Doll Club of Topeka had our annual holiday luncheon today with a fun gift exchange. We also met at Fairlawn Plaza before the lunch to see our “Santa’s Doll Workshop” windows put together by our doll club. All members brought a variety of dolls to display. These three windows will be on display until January 6th so go by Fairlawn Plaza and take a look for the holidays! Large Santa made by Melissa Rau.

The Cherished Doll Club of Topeka held our monthly meeting on September 2, 2025. Stuart Holbrook, President and Chief Auctioneer of the firm Theriault’s was our special guest. Stuart is considered to be one of the world’s most knowledgable experts in the collectibles market. He stopped by to talk with us about doll collecting and some of his ideas about the future of doll collecting. It was so interesting to hear what he had to say and we are so fortunate that he took the time to stop by Topeka to talk with us. We are also glad that some of our friends from the Over The Rainbow Doll Club of Lawrence also joined us. Many interesting dolls were also displayed by those who attended. Anyone who loves dolls is welcome to join us on the first Tuesday of the month.

The Cherished Doll Club of Topeka met on June 3rd. The program was about Kewpie dolls and their creator, Rose O’Neill. Here’s a fun fact- in the 30s and 40s some wedding cake toppers were made from small Kewpie dolls. Thank you to Jane Kelly for taking the pictures. Enjoy!
