This year, the CDDO is partnering with Kansas DCF in hosting the 2026 Resource Fair. As always, there will be a variety of community organizations there to share information about available programs and services, as well as giveaways, games, prizes, and food trucks. We will be out at The Woodshed Event Center the first Saturday in October from 10:00-1:30 so mark your calendars now!

Don’t miss this upcoming webinar introducing IDD Learning Lab, an innovative online program designed to help individuals with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities build real-world independent living skills.

During this live demonstration, we’ll showcase the course “Creating Safe Spaces: Living On Your Own” and give you a firsthand look at how the program helps individuals develop confidence and practical skills for everyday independence.

Adaptive Recreation Expo is coming to Crestview Park!

Join us on April 4th from 10 AM – 2 PM at Crestview Park and Community Center for a day of inclusive recreation designed for participants of all abilities.

The Adaptive Recreation Expo will feature adapted versions of popular activities, including:

🏀 Basketball
⚾ Baseball
⚽ Soccer
🥏 Disc Golf
🎨 Arts & Crafts
🌿 Naturalist Programs
🤝 And more?

To help provide the best experience, activities will be organized by age group:

10:00 AM – Elementary & Middle School
11:30 AM – Middle & High School
1:00 PM – Adults

This event is a great opportunity to explore inclusive recreation, try new activities, and connect with the community.
