I’ve put off making this post for as long as possible but after the destruction of the blessing box yesterday off western, I feel compelled to say something as I have been dealing with several issues myself in relation to midnight cradle.

1. If you are found to be reselling items you received here, at all at any time, you will not be welcome back. You will not receive any donation from us indefinitely. There will be zero excuses accepted. This includes resell via third party (having another person post for you)

2. If you are rude, disrespectful and curse at me or my volunteers, again, you will not be welcome back.

3. If you arrange private pickup on a day when the box is closed due to extreme weather, fail to pick up and the product gets ruined, you will not be welcome back for 60 days. If it happens more than once, you will not be welcome back indefinitely.

We do not have many rules, we do not even have registration. This does not mean that product is not tracked. This does not mean we do not watch social media and resell websites. This does not mean we are not professional. This does not mean the box is not monitored 24/7.
We work very hard every day to keep this going. We receive ZERO state or federal funding, and this has been something I have been proud to say for two years. We are 100% community funded. Every volunteer you see, is another parent from the baby closet. Every donation you see, comes from someone in the community. Every can of formula. Every onsie. Every diaper. The midnight cradle is run on the basis of “neighbor helping neighbor” and supporting each other during times of struggle. Every single parent that attends midnight cradle, myself included, knows what it feels like to feel like you’re falling short. We are here to support each other and lift each other up, therefore our only rules are based on mutual respect and common decency for the person next to you.
