Just a rant. We live across from a park, and it’s full of kids, even yesterday. My daughter wants to go out and play, but I won’t let her. Sometimes she gets to go out and swing with gloves on, but not when there’s 20 other people around. We have our own yard, but she wants the park. Why are so many parents taking their kids to parks right now? 😟

Free: 3 5-point harness car seats. Two Britax, one Cosco. My daughter has grown out of them. Not in a wreck, but goodwilll won’t accept anything that “restrains a child” and I don’t want to trash them. The Britax will seat up to 60lbs, Cosco up to 40. NE of town.

We are headed to the spray park about 3 today if anyone would like to join.
SE 10th and Lake. It is about 2 miles east of Kansas Ave. Take 10th until you see a park on your left. You can park in the community center parking lot. It's free.

If you'd like to plan an activity, please post the date, time, and location here and I will get it officially set up. Maybe you're going to the Discovery Center or the Zoo anyways, and would like to let others know?

Don't forget, we're meeting at the Topeka Zoo today at 1:30. Meet just inside, near the giraffes. Hope to see you there! Also, we'll be at the Discovery Center tomorrow at 1:30.

Don't forget Baby Bookworms tomorrow at the Library, at both 9:30 and 10:30am. I believe there is also story time for toddlers at 10:00.

If anyone is looking for an in-home daycare provider, I cannot say enough awesome things about who we use, Renee Sorrell of "Small Steps, Big Leaps" (785-383-8771). She is near 6th & MacVicar, but I would drive my child from anywhere in town to be with her!

Okay, I started this group and it's still new, but just found out that we're moving to Kansas City. Is there anyone who would be interested in taking over and planning events? It could be a group-led deal. I can give any of you admin rights; just speak up! Thanks!

Lots of baby stuff happens on Thursdays! Come to Baby Bookworms at the Library at either 9:30 or 10:30, then come this afternoon at 1:00 to the Parents as Teachers summer playgroup!
