This weekend we were thrilled to participate in two incredible performances of “Collective: Our Stories of Cancer” by Owen/Cox Dance Group. The performance centers the cancer experience through dance, original music, and spoken word. Our lead volunteer, Stephanie Barr, is working with a local poet on an interactive poetry project using the community prompt “Healing is ________.”

We had wonderful conversations with attendees about our advocacy work and how their cancer stories can influence public health policy. Thank you to Salina Arts & Humanities Theatre Salina Owen/Cox Dance Group and everyone who helped organized this powerful event!

✅ The highest possible funding increases for the NIH, NCI, ARPA-H and CDC cancer programs.

Last night we had a fantastic Lights of Hope ceremony at the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge - Kansas City! We served dinner to the guest, shared information about ACS CAN and our advocacy work, and then honored our loved ones impacted by cancer with our Lights of Hope.

Many thanks to our fantastic volunteers who helped with the event, and a huge thank you to the Kansas City Hope Lodge for hosting and collaborating with us!
