We believe prayer changes things.

As we prepare for Royal Family KIDS Camp this June, we are asking our community to begin praying now. Camp may only last one week, but the impact can last a lifetime.

Here are five specific ways you can pray starting today:

1. Pray for our campers. Pray that each child would feel safe, seen, and deeply valued.
2. Pray for healing from trauma and for seeds of confidence and hope to be planted.
3. Pray God to send us the right counselors and volunteers to work with these kids.
4. Pray for protection over camp week. Physical safety, emotional safety, and spiritual covering.
5. Pray that every child would walk away knowing they matter and that their story is not over.

If you are willing to commit to praying for camp this year, comment “Praying” below.

For 31 years, Royal Family KIDS Camp Topeka has been a place where children in foster care can breathe again. A place where they can laugh without fear, rest without looking over their shoulder, and be surrounded by safe, caring adults who believe in them.

According to the FBI, over 70% of children in the U.S. rescued out of s*x trafficking had been in the foster care system. Of those, the average age that they entered was 12.

We must continue to rescue these victims, and bring the perpetrators to justice.

We must also work on PREVENTION.

At For The Children we are committed to teaching these innocent minors to see threats, and get help.

This is why we do what we do.

Since 2013, For The Children volunteers have fostered or adopted 868 children that have come through our programs. With your support, each year, that number gets larger and larger.

Please help us continue to make an impact by signing the pledge with the link below.

Huge Changes!!!

Huge Changes!!!

Same Heart, New Name, Bigger Impact.

It is official we are now For The Children and here’s why.

For 30 years, volunteers, churches, businesses, local municipal partners, and Royal Family Kids staff have dedicated their time, talent, and treasures to help transform the lives of vulnerable children across the US, and world.

While RFK has formally overseen our camps and mentoring programs, the breadth of our work has evolved far beyond these two programs. Today we provide direct trauma intervention, advocacy, fostering, adoption, support to parents, and other crucial wraparound services.

While we acknowledge the expansion of our work across our 252 chapters, COVID-19 has profoundly increased the needs of children and families. Extreme gaps in fulfilling these needs cannot be overstated.
‍
In order to address the systemic issues surrounding child welfare today, our organization must respond.
‍
Consequently, as of November 2020, Royal Family KIDS will officially be renamed For The Children. This transition will bring clarity to new opportunities, from providing laptops and shoes to needy children, to assisting overburdened social workers, to providing temporary shelter.

The teaching and example of Jesus in caring for “the least of these” will remain our motivation. As For The Children, we are also eager to focus on the systemic issues facing children, around the globe.

Please help us spread awareness by SHARING this post.

Here at Royal Family Kids, we are in the business of collecting smiles. 🥰
