Our mission is to preserve the legacy of the Supreme Court decision and to advance educational equity and civil rights through community engagement, public education, and cultural programming. The Brown Foundation for Educational Equity, Excellence and Research was established in 1988 to serve as a living tribute to the attorneys, community organizers and plaintiffs in the landmark U.S. What the B

rown decision represents is at the core of United States history and the freedoms we enjoy. It reaffirmed the sovereign power of the people of the United States in the protection of their natural rights from arbitrary limits and restrictions imposed by state and local governments. Those rights are recognized in the Declaration of Independence and guaranteed by the U.S.

Six years later, the pain of losing George Floyd still echoes across this nation. His death forced America to confront painful truths about policing, accountability, and the value of Black lives in this country.

George Floyd should still be here. His family should still have their brother, father, and loved one. While his name became a symbol heard around the world, we must never forget the human life behind the movement.

The fight for justice did not end with a verdict. It continues in courtrooms, communities, and conversations across America as we continue demanding accountability, equality, and lasting change.

Say his name: George Floyd.

Rest in power.
