Unfortunately, early today the cleanup at the Historic Topeka Cemetery scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, May 21st was cancelled due to the threat of thunderstorms.

REMINDER: Friends of Reinisch Workday

Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 11th from 12:30 to 2:30 - at the Reinisch Rose Garden, 635 SW Gage Boulevard - inside of Gage Park. We would LOVE to have you!

Keep America Beautiful-Topeka/Shawnee County promotes beautification, recycling, litter reduction and graffiti removal. There are many programs that we promote, participate, and partner with other organizations.

Yesterday eight volunteers planted just a few dozen shy of TWO-THOUSAND PLANTS at the Lake Shawnee/Ted Ensley Gardens!

KAB has the hardest working, most amazing volunteers any organization could ever hope for - THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

Thank you Traci Podlena, Shawnee County Kansas Horticulturist for your direction, energy, and fun-loving spirit. We all had a great time. You’ll be seeing a lot more of our KAB volunteers throughout the season! 🌳🌼🌿

Volunteers will gather
Saturday, May 21, 2022, for
Keep America Beautiful-Topeka/Shawnee County's
cleanup day at the Historic Topeka Cemetery

For the 21st year, KAB volunteers will help prepare the Historic Topeka Cemetery for Memorial Day.

Volunteers of all ages are needed to clean up tree debris, remove woody plants from around monuments, refill planters, pick up litter, paint, mow, and more.
We ask that volunteers to bring rakes, shovels, loppers, garden/work gloves, mowers, w**d eaters, personal water bottles, and hats/sunscreen/bug spray as needed. Remember to wear old, comfortable clothing – comfort is king!

Volunteers will work from 9:00 a.m. to noon with a light lunch to follow.
