This National Nurses Week, May 6–12, we joyfully celebrate the AONL theme “Leadership in Every Moment.” Nurses are the heartbeat of health care, leading with compassion, strength, and excellence, every shift, every interaction, and every day.

Across Kansas, nurses rise to every moment with courage and grace. Leadership shines through in bold decisions and breakthrough innovations, but also in quiet acts of kindness, teamwork, mentoring, advocacy, and unwavering dedication to patients, families, and communities. Whether at the bedside, in the boardroom, or behind the scenes, nurses make an extraordinary impact that is felt far beyond their units and organizations.

✨ Day 2 & Conference Wrap‑Up ✨

What an incredible way to close out our conference! Day 2 delivered powerful insights, meaningful conversations, and practical takeaways to carry forward into our work and leadership.

We kicked off the morning with Everything DiSC® Agile – Emotional Intelligence, setting the tone for thoughtful collaboration and self‑awareness. Attendees then explored timely updates on Rural Health Transformation, gained practical tools during an engaging session on Change Management, and connected with valued vendor and sponsor partners along the way.

🎉 KONL Spring Conference Kickoff in Wichita!

Today, over 90 nurse leaders from across Kansas gathered in Wichita to kick off the annual Kansas Organization of Nurse Leaders (KONL) Spring Conference!

The conference launched with opening remarks and a warm welcome from KONL leadership, followed by a full day of learning, connection, and collaboration. Attendees are diving into timely and practical topics including:�✅ Managing tasks and time using Microsoft 365�✅ A KHA legislative update impacting healthcare across Kansas�✅ Personal storytelling and professional branding�✅ Updates on the Kansas Nursing Pathways Project�✅ KONL’s annual meeting and district breakout sessions
