Protecting a newborn means being mindful, respectful, and putting the baby’s health first. Visitors should make sure they are up to date on vaccines like TDAP, flu, and COVID before meeting a newborn, practice good hygiene like hand washing, and postpone the visit if they feel sick. Taking precautions before meeting new babies helps keep their first days safe, calm, and healthy.

It’s okay to have questions about vaccines for your little one.

✅The American Academy of Pediatrics has safely recommended the HepB birth dose since 1991. Since then, hepatitis B infections in children have dropped by 99%. 📊

A safe, early step to help protect your baby from the very beginning.👣

From their first smile to their first steps, your little one has a lifetime of firsts. One of those is their first vaccine.🩹

The hepatitis B birth dose helps protect your baby from possible exposure, especially since many people don’t know they have hepatitis B.

With that protection, your baby can stay healthy, be safely around others, attend child care, and grow, play, and thrive. 🌈🤸‍♂️🌟

Protecting your newborn starts at birth. 💗👣

Many people with hepatitis B don’t know they have it. The birth dose helps provide early protection — even before your baby leaves the hospital.
