With most students now back in school, new schedules, expectations, teachers, and classmates can take some time to adjust to. One simple way to create more stability during this transition is by having predictable routines at home. Consistent routines that prioritize our physical needs can help us manage stress and navigate change.
A helpful framework from Compass Health Center is SEEDS:
🌱 Sleeping: Keep bedtime and wake-up times as consistent as possible.
🌱 Eating: Aim for regular meals and snacks.
🌱 Exercise: Make time for movement and outdoor play.
🌱 Doctor’s Orders: Stay consistent with medications, appointments, and other care routines.
🌱 Self-Care: Make space for rest, connection, and activities that help your child recharge.
