Our next College Hill Recycling Drive will be this Saturday, July 18. Please have your sorted recyclables on or in front of your porch (and visible from the street) by 9 AM. Please sort your metals this way:

—Aluminum pop cans by themselves
—Steel cans, cat food cans, aluminum pie tins and foil all together
—Other kinds of metals (brass, bronze, aluminum storm doors) by themselves

Recycling with College Hill is a great way to help fund neighborhood projects and help our environment. If you have questions or need to arrange a separate delivery/pickup, please call Carol Christensen (785-554-8068). Thank you so much!

House decorating completion was fierce this year! Thank you to everyone who got in on the spirit! This year’s winners were chosen by a panel of community members who carefully evaluated bunting, pennants and pinwheels to choose the following winners:

1st Place: 1524 Jewell
2nd Place: 1607 Mulvane
3rd Place: 1417 Jewell

Yard signs have gotten delayed this year but they'll be in the award winning yards next week. Congratulations, College Hill!

College Hill 4th of July Parade starts at 10 am on the 4th! Bring a bag for candy! 🇺🇸

Every year, the College Hill 4th of July Parade brings out the best in our neighborhood, kids on decorated bikes, dogs in stars and stripes, porch parties, lawn chairs lining the route, and a whole lot of heart.

From the College Hill Band to balloon animals, waving flags to free hot dogs, it’s a celebration rooted in community, creativity, and good old-fashioned fun.

This year’s parade kicks off at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 4, starting at Boswell Park. Whether you walk, ride, play, cheer, or volunteer—you make the magic happen.

💬 Do you have a favorite parade memory or photo? Drop it in the comments! We’d love to see your snapshots from years past and hear what this tradition means to you.

Let’s keep the spirit marching on—see you on the 4th!
