Doxazo Ministries We serve the Church by helping them recruit, raise up, and retain their youth and children's ministry leaders.

Our goal is to help EVERY KID in our community find a church home...TOGETHER! Doxazo was founded in 2005 as a one-week sports camp, called Doxazo Wynnewood, designed to teach elementary-aged boys Godly character through team sports. After many years of discipling young men, the Lord put a calling on Doxazo’s heart to take the camp experience to “the least of these” (Matthew 25) in their city. In D

ecember of 2012, Doxazo was invited to host a camp for children in the Hi-Crest neighborhood. This began a close partnership with NET Reach, a division of the Topeka Rescue Mission. In 2014, Doxazo became a division under the Topeka Rescue Mission. Doxazo currently has four programs to engage and train youth to serve in their city: our bi-annual mission trip, the Doxazo Summer Intensive (DSI), Wynnewood, and Fuchsia. All four programs vary in length and intensity of commitment, but they work together to either get students plugged into serving in their community or build upon a foundation of service in Topeka. In the years since, Doxazo has partnered with countless churches, organizations, and individuals to impact hundreds of children, students, and families in the Topeka area.

While marketing tools like social media aren’t the most important part of student ministry, they play a key role in giving people a glimpse into your ministry and keeping families in the loop. A simple, repeatable strategy for posts and updates makes all the difference!

As our residents head into their summer break, we'd love to invite you to pray for them as they intentionally pour into students and take part in exciting events like camp. We will be counting down the days until we’re back together in August! 📆

It’s hard to believe we’re already in the final weeks of our first semester of Ministry Launch! 🙌🏽 🚀

In our Partnering with Parents class, residents explored what it means to truly connect with, encourage, and support their students' parents/guardians. Every family looks different, but our call to love and care for them remains the same. When serving families becomes a church-wide priority, lives are impacted in powerful ways! ⛪️

In our Ministry Launch Objectives class, residents collaborated to begin building a yearly plan for their student ministries. 📆

While planning an entire year can feel a bit overwhelming, we walked everyone through a process for developing sustainable, repeatable rhythms—while reminding them to stay open and flexible as needs and opportunities change. When we take the time to plan with purpose, we can ensure we’re investing in the things throughout the year that will help our students become more like Jesus. 🚀

✨ Student Launch "Season 1" has officially come to a close! ✨

This year, four churches and 33 students embarked on a journey of friendship, discipleship, and student leadership development. It was such a joy to recognize each of these amazing students at our final Student Launch lunch for their hard work, consistency, and commitment to share the Gospel with others!

THANK YOU to our church partners—Wanamaker Woods Church, Topeka Bible Church, Rooted Community Church, and Capital City Church—for trusting us with your teams and helping us pilot year one of this program. We can't wait to kick off "Season 2" soon - stay tuned for more information!

Spiritual Retreat 2026 - Part 1! 📸

Yesterday, we wrapped up our third annual Spiritual Retreat! We’re incredibly grateful for the chance to create space for ministry leaders in our network to rest, connect with God, and enjoy time together. Highlights from this year include powerful teaching from Jim Presnell and Jimi Nickel, Joylight Coffee on site, an hour of solitude to explore the beautiful East Bank property, and lots of great food and meaningful conversations around tables.

Huge thanks to our generous donor who made this retreat completely free for our members!

Finding the right volunteers can feel challenging, but it doesn’t have to be! When you know who to look for, how to train them well, and how to support them long‑term, you can build a team that’s in it for the long haul. By creating strong systems, communicating clearly, and fostering a culture of encouragement, you can help your volunteers love student ministry as much as you do.
