TAG is honored to exhibit “Nature’s Reflections”, the work of photographer Dave Horner as our Artist of the Month for June, 2026! He takes the pictures, he develops the film, and he prints and frames his work! Come by to see this in person, Wednesday through Saturday, each week, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm! • • •
“Hi, I’m David Horner, a nature and landscape photographer from Boston. I moved to Topeka, Kansas in 2007. I hated to leave New England for it offered so many subjects to photograph… oceans, mountains, fall colors and winter snow… so moving to Kansas, I thought there would be nothing to photograph. OH HOW WRONG I WAS!
Here in Kansas we have wonderful sunsets, the Flint Hills, old barns and the burning of the fields, the Milky Way, and we do have some snow! This goes to show that natural beauty can be found anywhere you are. You just have to slow down and take a look around you.
These prints without glass are protected with timeless archival varnish, which protects the prints better than glass. The prints are water resistant, scuff resistant, UV protected, and 100 years archival! It also increases the color vibrancy and greater shadow contrast, prevents glare, and is easy to clean. These photographs are printed on Epson acid-free paper or canvas , using Epson pigment ink. They will last 200 years before fading.”

This oil painting is on it's way to a Forever Home in Maine. Thank you Herb.

Congratulations Marie! We are so pleased for you to be recognized as the fine artist that you are!

Last night's event was truly unforgettable! We're thrilled to share that the talented Marie Plinsky will be our featured artist for 2026, and her captivating art piece, 'Mr. & Mrs. C,' will be showcased on our posters and t-shirts!

Marie Plinsky, a Topeka resident since 1974, traces her artistic roots to her early years growing up on a family farm. Her rural upbringing influences her artwork, which frequently features depictions of birds and flowers, reflecting her deep connection to nature.

For over 25 years, Plinsky has been an active member of the Topeka Art Guild (TAG), where she has held numerous leadership roles. Currently serving as the Chairman of the Executive Board. Her artistic portfolio includes notable exhibitions such as the Fall Art Walk in Holton, Lawrence's Art in the Park, and multiple showings at Aaron Douglas Art Fair demonstrating her commitment to visual arts.

Marie has taken classes from Susan Duran Wilson in Wichita and Tulsa. Kayann Ausherman's class in Topeka and Haven have added many techniques to her art journey. As many during Covid online YouTube tutorials kept Marie busy.
