Topeka Crochet & Knit Guild Topeka Crochet Guild is a chapter of the Crochet Guild of America which promotes crochet in the area through various activities.http://topekacrochet.org

One day in April, five women met to discuss a crochet group & the Topeka Crochet Guild was born! What started with those few women has grown by leaps & bounds over the past few years. Thousands of items have been donated to local charities. TopC meets at the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library on the first and third Sundays of each month from 1:30 to 3:30. They also gather informally at Baker's Dozen on Thursday evenings. Contact Connie Gould for more information.

Hello everyone !!! It has been along time since we have met. The library is open but they have a limit. Upstairs we could only have 6 people in the room and in the aud b 10 aud c 16 so we have to many people. The yarn hop is going to be Oct 23 and 24th. I have no details. Also Stormont Vail Cancer center is in need of hats that are made of soft yarn and have no knots. Please let me know if you have some. We will be having a committee meeting to make some plans. Thank you everyone. Remember we are still meeting on Wednesday from 6 -8 at Fairlawn mall !!! Missing everyone !!!

Happy August 1st !!! Hope everyone is doing well !!! Remember we are going to start having our Wed. Evening CroKnits at Fairlawn mall from 6 to 8 !!! I miss seeing everyone. Been busy watching 4 of the grandkids playing ball. Hope to see you on Wednesday !!!

Happy 12th Birthday to our Topeka Crochet and Knit Guild !!!! Hope everyone has a chance to crochet or knit today and think about all the friends we have thru the guild !!! I know I have met and became friends with all of you and I cherish our friendship !!! Our May 3rd meeting will be cancelled and we will wait and see about the 17th and our Cro-knits on Wed. evening. Miss all of you and again Happy birthday to all of us !!!Love all of you !!!

I hope everyone is staying home and being safe. I received a letter from Kansas Children Service that they ate going to no longer do purple baby hats for shaken baby but they are starting a new program to collect baby blankets. So as you are home you can make some Afghan. In the letter it has no requirement for afghans. If you have purple hats made we can donate to our local hospital. Over the last 9 year's they have collected 80,000 !!! Thank you for donating !!!

Ladies As of now there will be no Wednesday night CroKnits and all meetings and birthday dinner will be cancelled. Everyone please stay home and follow what we are to do. This gives you plenty of time to crochet and knit!!! I will miss seeing everyone and hopefully we will see each other in May !!!Love all my yarn friends !!!
