Hey guys, Eddie again! Here are some photos from the other night (Saturday). This is from the back side of the storm that produced tornados in Marshall and Pottawatomie Counties, and then the straight line wind damage in Manhattan. Enjoy!

Well, KSIT Nation, this is the post that I hate to make, but it's time. I am finally getting out of law enforcement and pursuing a passion of mine in Emergency Management.

I was offered the position of Emergency Management Director for Nemaha County, and I accepted the position. Because of this, my days of chasing Kansas and keeping you guys updated as to what is happening in the state are coming to an end.

It's been a fantastic eleven years having you all around. I think I can speak for Curtis, Dustin, and Kyle on this, but we never imagined this group would grow to nearly TWELVE THOUSAND followers!

We'll still be around off and on, but I will not be on as much as I have been or would like. I just simply will not have the time when I start this new position.

Please still stick around as we will still be posting content!

The National Weather Service in Wichita says its preliminary investigation into Friday night’s tornado in Andover, Kansas, rates the tornado as an EF-3.

04/30/2022

Well folks, pray for Andover tonight. They're going to need all the prayers we can give them.

Headed home now and my heart hurts for those folks. My best friend's apartment complex narrowly missed the tornado, but the YMCA just a few hundred feet away didnt fare so well.

Hug your family tight tonight, we never know when it's time to go home.

KSIT Nation, I currently have my live video stream up on Severe Studios. You can view it at https://www.severestudios.com/storm-chasers/ed.aldrine.ii.html. Give it a watch! Doing so helps us give you guys the footage you want. Just a heads up, there won't be any sound, so please don't be alarmed.

Good afternoon, KSIT Nation!!! Curtis, a couple VIPs, and I are currently westbound on US Highway 50 west of Emporia. Storms look to fire late this afternoon along the dryline that is draped along I-135. All modes of severe weather are possible today including tornados. If storms can form along the dryline and break through the cap, they could be incredibly strong.

Like always, when we are on a storm, I will not be able to give you regular updates as we will be speaking with local emergency managers and the National Weather Service. Please tune in to your local weather media outlets for up to date weather news for your location.

***THIS WARNING HAS EXPIRED***

Hello, KSIT Nation, Eddie here. There is a TORNADO WARNING for eastern Ford County and Edwards County in Kansas. I have a very close friend of mine on that storm currently and stated there is not a tornado present. This warning is RADAR INDICATED ONLY!!! That being said, in any tornado warning you need to seek shelter immediately. Even though a tornado may not be present, that could change in a matter of seconds. Do not take this warning lightly.

BARBER, BARTON, CLARK. COMANCHE, EDWARDS, ELLIS, FORD, HODGEMAN, KIOWA, NESS, PAWNEE, PRATT, RUSH, RUSSELL, STAFFORD, and TREGO.

Remember, a tornado watch means that tornados are possible and not in progress. Please have a plan in place if you and your family are to come within close proximity of a tornado.

KSIT Nation, here is the current satelite view from the GOES 16 weather satellite. As you can see, potential storms are firing along the dryline. The northern set of turkey towers appear to be north of the front, so I would assume the southern grouping would be the one to keep an eye on. Stay tuned for more updates and please like and share these updates to keep everyone up to date!
