KMCA was proud to partner with American Trucking Associations in DC this week. We continued some conversations with Congressional offices, started some new ones and, primarily, made sure that trucking's voice is heard by our elected officials and the staff that helps them think through their policy decisions throughout the year.

KMCA was in Washington, D.C. this week standing up for trucking, and Transport Topics highlighted the urgent concerns our members brought to their elected officials. Lawsuit abuse, runaway verdicts, third-party litigation funding, and fraudulent claims are threatening the survival of family-owned trucking companies across Kansas.

These businesses keep our shelves stocked and our communities running. If predatory litigation drives them out, who will deliver your groceries, your prescriptions, and the everyday goods you count on?

Glad to do our small part today getting out with KHP and FMCSA to recognize and appreciate the drivers who keep Kansas moving.

Nearly 50% of communities in our state depend exclusively on trucks to get their goods. No trucks, no groceries. No fuel. No supplies on the shelves.

Nothing moves without truckers. Thank you for all you do. 🙏
