Help SHRED Race to the Finish! https://www.duckrace.com/topeka/teams/15264

We’re excited to be part of the 31st Annual Sertoma Great Topeka Duck Race on Saturday, September 26!

And before you ask… no actual ducks are involved. These are rubber ducks, and adopting one (or a whole family) is an easy way to support the Top City SHRED Youth Mountain Bike Team while also getting a chance to win some pretty awesome prizes, including a CAR and even a chance at $1 MILLION with the Lucky Duck!

Here’s the fun part:
🦆 1 duck = $5
🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆 Family of 5 = $20 (the most popular choice!)
🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆 Flock of 12 = $50
🦆 “Oodle” of 27 = $100

50% of everything purchased through the SHRED team goes directly back to SHRED!

So if you’re looking for a super easy way to support our young riders, this is it. Nothing to pick up, nothing to deliver, and no wrapping paper to sell! Just adopt some ducks and cheer them on.

The money we raise helps SHRED continue giving our youth athletes opportunities that go beyond just riding bikes.

Please make sure you purchase your ducks through the SHRED team link so your purchase counts toward our fundraiser!

You can find the SHRED team by going to the Duck Race website and clicking Teams, then look for Top City SHRED Youth Mountain Bike Team.

Online duck adoptions are open until 10:00 a.m. on September 26.

Buy a duck. Support SHRED. Maybe win a car. It’s a pretty good deal.

And please share this post with your family and friends — every duck helps!

What an incredible 2026 season. From the games during practice, time on trails, fellowship at the races, and after practice pizza, NICA really is the greatest show on dirt.

If you have a 5th - 12th grader that would be interested in participating next year, give us a message! No experience required.

And thanks to all the teams and people that made it possible to race at their local (and sometimes private) trails Doug P***n Coyote Composite - NICA Youth MTB Team Emporia, KS Sunflower Outdoor & Bike Shop

What a great last race to the season. Coyote Composite - NICA Youth MTB Team Emporia, KS were incredible hosts with one of the best event venues of the season.

The bikes are being washed and the jerseys hung up for the Fall, but reach out if your student athlete is interested in joining NICA next year.

Snake River Farms is always a great race. It's challenging. It's technical. It's a great way for each of our student athletes to refine their skills, dig deep and further develop their love for mountain biking.

We have one more race in Emporia before our season ends. Thank you to all our support crew, from the league staff and volunteers to our local sponsors and parents. A huge thank you especially to all the moms out there that showed up on their Mothers' Day to cheer on their kids.

How It Works: Make a donation, and be entered to win one of three awesome prizes. Every dollar goes directly to support NICA teams and student-athletes. 50% goes straight back to your favorite team, and the other 50% goes to the Kansas League to support our programming and scholarships. It may not be a race weekend, but we're already dreaming of starting sprints and hitting the trails with over 200 friends from across the state of Kansas.

When the students become the mentors….it becomes about so much more than bikes.
