Today was Crazy Sock Day for our Keepers! It’s always fun to show some personality and today we got together and showed our socks off! From lobsters to alien invasions we definitely think our keepers brought the fun with them to work today!
Let us know what you would wear and whose socks you love!

We are so excited to show off our animals Artwork again! Huge thanks to Topeka Art Guild & Gallery for showcasing us again this month! Let us know in the comments what your favorite paintings are!

Did you know some of the animals at the Topeka Zoo create incredible works of art?

Join the Topeka Chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK) at the Topeka Art Guild Gallery in Fairlawn Plaza for First Friday, TONIGHT, August 7, from 4:30–7:30 p.m. Enjoy food, drinks, great conversation, and browse a unique collection of paintings created by our talented animal artists and local artists.

Can't make First Friday? The artwork will be on display throughout the month of August, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to stop by.

Best of all, every painting purchased helps provide enrichment for the animals at the Topeka Zoo, supporting activities and experiences that keep them healthy, active, and engaged.

Come support local art, local wildlife, and a great cause. Which Zoo animal do you think would create the most impressive masterpiece? Share your guess in the comments!

More Zookeeper week fun!
We even included other departments in our fun and games.
Carrying bales of brome and unlocking locks and racing wheel barrows the fastest made these keeper games fun for all!
