The network of Area Agencies on Aging is very strong! Did you know that "back in the old days" there were very few options available for older adults who needed help to avoid the nursing home? It was visionary for Congress to pass the Older Americans Act in 1965 and amend it in 1973 to add the Area Agencies on Aging as a viable solution. The 11 Area Agencies on Aging cover every county in the State of Kansas. Do you want to know who to call for your questions about aging services, information, and/or resources? 1-866-457-2364.

Today is the last post for 2025. We are grateful for each one of you and your support for older Kansans and caregivers. Without a strong network of advocates and caregivers, we are limited in the work to help older Kansans remain in their homes with supports and services. So, thank you!
