Topanga CERT Training — What a Weekend!

What an incredible turnout for our Topanga CERT Training right here in the Canyon! 🙌

Thank you to everyone who showed up, leaned in, and committed their time to learning how to better prepare, respond, and support our community during emergencies. It’s inspiring to see so many neighbors stepping up for one another.

A very special thank you to the Los Angeles County Fire Department for providing exceptional, hands-on instruction. We’re grateful for your leadership and continued partnership in strengthening our community’s preparedness.

Topanga continues to show what true community resilience looks like.

We hope to see all our new CERT members at the Topanga CERT orientation next weekend — DM us for details!

CERT Training is happening right here in the canyon!

The County of Los Angeles Fire Department is hosting a FREE, in-person Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training in Topanga.

This is a mix of Topanga Cert pictures on the website. These pics were taken around 2015 when I was more active on the team. However the team is still active, together and still training and participating in local events. It was one of the best and important activities I volunteered for in my retirement years. Nowadays it’s so important to be trained in CPR, First Aide, triage and search and rescue. There may be a time when you will have to depend on yourself or local groups in an emergency.

Topanga CERT Team emptied the Cache at Topanga Community Center and moved the supplies to the new Cache at the Theatricum.
It took a few hours to do but the team worked together efficiently and it was nice being live together for this important project.

Topanga CERT is active again training first responders, classes in advance CPR and first aid and will be participating in an upcoming County Wide Communication and Evacuation Drill. Being prepared and trained is the best solution.
