Today, Tooele VFW Post 9413 had the honor of providing military funeral honors, including the ceremonial gun salute, for a veteran who proudly served our nation for more than 20 years in the United States Navy 🇺🇸

One of the most important services our Post provides is the Honor Guard for our veterans’ funerals. It is our privilege to ensure that those who served our country receive the respect and honors they have earned.

As the need for Honor Guard services continues to grow, we are looking for volunteers to help us carry on this meaningful mission.

Today we commemorate the 82nd anniversary of D-Day. We honor the bravery and sacrifice of the Allied troops on the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944, a day that forever changed the course of history. May we never forget their courage and heroism.

The VFW calls on America to remember the true, somber meaning of Memorial Day, honoring the fallen heroes who forfeited their futures to defend our freedom.

Tooele City honors and thanks all who have lost their lives while serving and protecting our country. The City would would also like to thank those who are currently serving our country and would like to wish everyone a safe Memorial Day.

Tooele City Offices will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026, in observance of Memorial Day.

Please join us for a Memorial Day Service at 11:00 a.m. at Veteran's Memorial Park (Corner of Main & Vine). All are welcome to attend.

Garbage will NOT be picked up on the holiday. Trash pick up services will be DELAYED by one day, beginning with the holiday.
