We are honored to share that Canter Haven Farm has received a generous grant from a charitable fund created in memory of our dear friend and equestrian advocate, Catherine Kirby, whose passion for horses continues to inspire us every day.
This gift arrived through DAF Giving 360, a donor‑advised fund platform that allows supporters to set aside charitable dollars and direct them to nonprofits they believe in. These funds can be granted at any time, giving donors a flexible and meaningful way to support causes close to their hearts.
This funding directly benefits the horses in our care—retired Thoroughbred racehorses, mustangs, and our senior mini Blackie, who was a longtime resident of Catherine’s Noble Horse Sanctuary.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the donor who established this fund and continues to support horses in Catherine’s honor. I still tear up as Catherine Kirby was taken from us much too soon due to cancer. I miss our chats about horses and the memories. Catherine had an OTTB she rode growing up and they competed in Hunter/Jumpers. She always had a place in her heart for the Thoroughbreds.
