Hey if anyone knows anyone looking to get into sober living we have openings at the Become Beacon house in Tooele. We currently have openings in both the men’s houses. We have men’s houses one in Tooele and one in Grantsville. We also have openings at the women’s house which is located in Grantsville. We are only accepting people who have T.A.M Medicaid at this time! Please reach out and let’s give someone else the tools they need to live a fulfilled life of sobriety!!

Got my one year chip!! It feels good to get it. And I look forward to my next. Recovery is possible with the right perspective.. and the right team you can accomplish anything! The goal isn’t to get sober.. it’s to stay sober. And keep pushing forward and keep progressing each and every day! It’s about waking up and looking at yourself in the mirror and being proud of the person you have become! The journey started a year ago and to quote Nip.. the Marathon Continues!!

It’s crazy to think that I am officially at one year sober today! A year ago I walked into the Become Beacon house and the only thing I had was the clothes on my back. Not knowing how I was going to make this work all I knew was that I was going to make this work. All yesterday I took the time to reflect on this past year and be grateful where I am today. Today i get to plan for this next year and on Monday I will go for my chip. I have such an amazing family out here and I couldn’t ask for a better support group then the one i have right now. I strongly recommend coming out to Tooele if you want to change. It took someone who didn’t think for one second that I was going to make it to 2024 and it gave me hope.. gave me a fresh start and most importantly it gave me back life. I will forever be in debt to the Beacon House because at the end of the day if it wasn’t for the Beacon House.. I would not be here today.

It's crazy to think I am at 300 days.. almost to a year. I remember coming to Tooele and being within my first week and knowing I was going to succeed and I didn't care about how hard the road was going to be I didn't know how I was going to make I just knew that I was going to make it. It wouldn't have been possible without Become Beacon and without Jacqueline Mann Garrison . It was change or die for me. For me there is no tomorrow.

I came out to Tooele nine months ago. I only had the clothes on my back. When I came out here I had no forms of I.D. No birth certificate. No food stamps. I had no idea how I was going to survive. All I knew was that I was going to survive. Some how I was going to make this work. With in my first week I had gotten my birth certificate.. my social security card and a paper I.D. Before my second week hit I was hired on at Jiffy L**e. A roommate showed me his one year chip and I promised myself that I to would get mine. I said I would be the Kobe Bryant of sobriety chips! Here I am nine months later. The single most important decision I ever made my entire life was to come to Tooele. To come to the Become Beacon family. I couldn’t ask for a better team, a better family then what I have at Become Beacon. I am three months away from getting that chip that I promised myself I was going to get!

Hey everyone please go and like this page!! It’s a Sober Living in Tooele County. Become Beacon. I have been sober for nine months tomorrow and it wouldn’t have been possible with Jacqueline Mann Garrison bringing me in to the Beacon Family! It has personally changed my life! Become Beacon has given me life again when I absolutely thought my life was over. It reintroduced me to myself and it’s launched me right where I need to be in life. I am now responsible. I no longer use. I’m filling my taxes for the first time in over ten years l! I am not sucked up anymore! But one of the biggest things Become Beacon has given to me is a loving, caring and supportive family. They actually care about those society has given up on. Coming to Become Beacon saved my life! And if you know someone struggling this place can save theirs as well! The best thing I ever did was call Jacqueline that day! Seven years ago today was the last time that I put drugs into my arm. It was the last day that picked up that rig and shot my self past cloud nine! Now seven years wasn’t the last time I used obviously but it was the last time a needle went into my arm. It’s crazy how I can remember dates.. I haven’t drank alcohol since 2010. Last time I shot up was seven years ago. Last time I did he**in was March 7th. My over all sobriety date is April 21st. I know for some people they don’t keep track of their days but I do. Because in order for me to get to where i am going I need to know. I always tell people I’m going to be the Kobe Bryant of sobriety chips! Today feels good!
