This week, on Wednesday, it is National Love People Day! ❤️ (But, we want to celebrate all week!) Togany has a history of being a community that supports each other, cares about our neighbors, and loves to spend time together. 🎉 So, in the spirit of this holiday celebration, drop the name of some from the village, surrounding area, or Otsego community that you “love” and appreciate!👇 We have so many wonderful contributors!

We took a pause on some of the village updates to share other information, but we have at least one more exciting update to highlight from the Revitalization Committee: The Mural! 🫟 What you see below is the vision for this project, although it is subject to some changes! Thank you to the anonymous donor who helped make this happen, Steve Powell for sharing his building, Gail (animalhouseglass) for coordinating, and all of the artists who provided submissions! 🎉 Check it out! 👇

Well, folks! The countdown is on! To what, you ask? Our annual Christmas tree lighting, of course! (78 days, to be exact.) But! We’re missing one essential piece: 🌲 A TREE 🌲 Do YOU have the 2026 Christmas tree?! We come to you, cut it down, and do basic clean up of the branches, at no cost to you. If you’re interested in donating one, please message us here or reach out to Mayor Matt. In the meantime, enjoy the picture below of the committee picking out last year’s tree! 👇

Be sure to check out the Wood County Ag-Venture tomorrow! 🚜🌾🐮 They can describe it much better than us, so take a look at their page for more information. (But! We do know the Fox-Shank Living Laboratory is one of the featured stops! 🤩)

In celebration of America 250-Ohio and highlighting Food & Farms in Ohio and Wood County, plan to spend the day touring northwest Wood County visiting the selected site stops for fun, food, farming, and fundamentals in local agriculture.

As we shared last week, we want to highlight a few aspects of the work our Revitalization Committee has been doing. 🎉 In addition to our benches, we are working with the owners of the Powell and Zulch buildings to paint the facades! 🫟 Check out the renderings below for the direction we’re headed.👇 Much like last week’s post about benches, we hope to start this work in spring 2027!
