The Basehor Lions Club would like to thank everyone who came out to support our wing and pulled pork sale. This was the first time in years that we have sold completely out, thanks to your patronage. This project helps support our BLHS scholarship fund, in which the latest two recipients were just awarded.

Saturday evening the Basehor Lions Club enjoyed another wonderful Annual Club Post-Holiday Party at the home of our gracious hosts, David and Cheryl Breuer. The group enjoyed a wonderful evening of food, desserts, and friendship. The Lions Club presented wives Debbie Dearinger and Sherry Eberth with flowers and certificates of appreciation for their support in various projects.

The Basehor Lions Club participates in several local community projects which include the Halloween Rucksack Event, serving hot chocolate at Christmas Santa’s arrival, Project Sight eyeglass collection, and a Spring Wing Contest coming soon at Basehor Farmers Market with date to be announced. Annual pecan sales provide funds to provide scholarships for the graduating youths of BLHS.

If you would like to enjoy our camaraderie and strive to improve our community by participating in these and other events, please contact us by messaging here or talking to one of our members. We would love to have you join us.

It was a fun Saturday evening for the men and wives of the Basehor Lions Club, as we toured and enjoyed food and drink at the County Road Brewing in Tonganoxie, Kansas. The family owned business featured their own line of micro-brewed beers and tasty food. As usual, it was great enjoying each other's company.

Last week, on October 11th, the Basehor Lions Club hosted a treat station at the First Annual Skeleton Ruck Run/Walk Event, organized by the City of Basehor Community group. The group treated 85 youth to Halloween goodies at their table dressed with Halloween decor. It was held at the Basehor Community Civic Center where several groups had stations along the beautiful walking trail. The weather was gorgeous for the kids and their parents to enjoy the event.
