BUILD BABY BUILD – RODRICK’S REAL AGENDA EXPOSED
Remember when Daniel Rodrick ran for Mayor in 2023 claiming he would *stand up to overdevelopment*?
That promise lasted exactly until Election Day.
Last week, the **Toms River Planning Board** approved yet **another major development** — **150 townhouse and apartment units** at the intersection of **Clayton Avenue and Route 9 in North Dover**.
Let’s be clear:
🔹 The Planning Board is **appointed by Mayor Daniel Rodrick**. Members include: Kim Pascarella, James Braaten, Bob Watson, Geri Ambrosio and MAYOR DANIEL RODRICK!
🔹 Every major development application since he took office has been **approved**
🔹 Open space is disappearing
🔹 Traffic is increasing
🔹 Infrastructure is strained
🔹 Residents were promised something very different
The approved plan includes:
• **150 total units**
• **30 units designated for low- and moderate-income renters**
• A **22-acre site** previously cleared for another large project that was never built!
This is not “controlled growth.”
This is **unchecked development — exactly what Rodrick campaigned against.**
While residents asked for transparency, accountability, and protection of our neighborhoods…
**Rodrick’s Planning Board keeps saying YES to developers.**
**Build Baby Build.**
That’s the real motto of this administration.
Toms River deserves leadership that keeps its promises — not one that sells out our community after getting elected.
