⭐️ CASA Advocate of the Year: Donna Christie!

Donna is a dedicated advocate who is always willing to learn something new and will do everything in her power to ensure each child’s best interest is heard. This July marked her 5-year anniversary as a CASA volunteer! Over the years, Donna has advocated for a total of 10 children and is currently serving on two cases with three children.

Every child and family she serves is met with compassion, patience, and care. Donna is also bilingual, which allows CASA to better advocate for children and families who may otherwise face language barriers.

For these reasons and so many more, we are incredibly proud to recognize Donna as our CASA Advocate of the Year!

On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we recognize the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Indigenous peoples and reflect on the importance of honoring the unique identities and experiences of every child.

For children experiencing foster care, maintaining connections to their family, community, culture, and heritage can be an important part of their sense of identity and belonging. CASA volunteers advocate for the best interests of children in foster care, helping ensure their individual needs, backgrounds, and voices remain at the center of the decisions that affect their lives.
