As we begin the sacred season of Great Lent, we wish you a blessed and spiritually fruitful Lenten journey. 🙏

We are honored to share a message from our National Philoptochos Spiritual Advisor, His Grace Bishop Athenagoras, who reminds us that just as Christ withdrew in prayer (Mark 1:35), this holy season invites us into deeper prayer, sincere repentance, renewed commitment, and a closer relationship with Him.

Philoptochos chapters throughout the country support National and Metropolis commitments through various fundraising activities at the local levels.

These commitments support our mission of helping those in need and perpetuating Orthodox Christian beliefs, history and values. These commitments are included within our budget approved each year.

💙 Philoptochos Caregiver Support Group 💙

Caring for a loved one can be overwhelming - you don’t have to do it alone. Join our confidential, non-judgmental Caregiver Support Group, led by professionals, as we come together on Zoom for meaningful conversation, guidance, and encouragement.

Over six consecutive Thursday evenings, we’ll explore practical tools and best practices for navigating the physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges of caregiving. Topics include self-care, managing emotions, family dynamics, long-distance and holiday caregiving, financial concerns, and planning for the future. One session, led by a member of the clergy, will focus on how faith, culture, and spirituality can strengthen resilience and hope.
